I have not use it for long periods of time so can’t make a judgement on battery life. My only real problem with this unit to date is that the batteries do not seem to clamp on to the fixture properly. While using it for the first time the battery kept falling off. Using a small extra muscle when putting the battery on seems to help, but I may still return it.

This light worked fine for a day and then quit. I tried replacing the bulb to no avail. Then made the mistake of opening the unit to see if there was a loose wire- never could get it reassembled.

I bought this along with Dewalt’s DW908 (which works flawlessly). This light did its job and did it well for about 2 months. One evening while working in the garage with it, it just stopped working. Nobody hit it, dropped it, etc. It was hanging under the hood throwing off light and poof…it just died. I changed out the battery to a fully charged one and the light would not work. I bought a replacement bulb, still nothing. I place a multimeter into the bulb sockets (there are 4 so I tried all combinations)….no power. I called and emailed DeWalt and never got a response. It’s too terrible. I own the other light along with some of their 18V power tools and they all work fantastic. giving this 1 star due to the fact that it did not last and I got no answer from DeWalt about it.

I just received my flashlight and used it today to install an electrical panel in a basement. FANTASTIC! I have been using a head lamp when I do electrical work and this flashlight made the whole process simpler. The fact that the light goes out completely without warning isn’t a problem for me because I still wear my headlamp too. I know this flashlight will be very useful when doing wiring in an attic, it puts off a lot of light and the hook, built into the top makes it simple to hang and project the light where you want it.

What can you say about a excellent, workable product except “Excellent & Workable.”

Kudos to DeWalt for another excellent tool.
